Public Description (About this object)
Gravestone, with most of the text worn away. This engraved stone tablet with a curved top edge likely came from one of the churchyards that used to surround St Martin-in-the-Fields. It is now set into the floor of the church's crypt. It commemorates Elizabeth Tymperon (1753-1762) and her mother Dorothy, who died in January 1777

Engraved on the gravestone: Sacred to the memory of ELIZABETH TYMPERON who died April 1762 in the tenth year of her age also Mrs DOROTHY TYMPERON Mother of the above who departed this life 30th January 1777
Subject and Association Description
Dorothy and Edward Tymperon had two daughters, Elizabeth, born 1753, and Mary 1754.
