Featuring 45 of the UK’s finest young brass and percussion musicians aged 13–18, the Youth Band brings together exceptional talent from across the country. Fresh from its Summer Concert at The Forum, Bath, the Band returns to London under the direction of its Director of Artistic Planning, Dr Robert Childs, for an entertaining programme of well-loved classics, spectacular brass band favourites and music to delight audiences of all ages.

The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain (NYBBGB) is the UK’s leading brass band charity for children and young people. Formed in 1952 by Dr Denis Wright, we exist to give the brightest young brass and percussion musicians the opportunity to develop their musicianship, play together and inspire others.
The NYBBGB currently runs two brass bands – the Children’s Band and the Youth Band and entry is by audition. Our bands perform advanced music and receive the highest quality artistic direction and teaching. This develops our young members as musicians to grow the next generation of outstanding brass and percussion players, teachers, and music leaders.
