Public Description (About this object)
Pulpit at St Martin-in-the-Fields. The pulpit has been attributed to Grinling Gibbons, but this needs further verification. it was originally a three tier pulpit and was adapted and moved around the church since it was installed in 1726. Up to 2008, it was on the south side and then moved to the north after the 2008 renewal project. it has a particularly fine staircase with turned balustrades.
